'F*ck plastic' and save the ocean.

SZA, being the responsible goddess that she is, has taken to Instagram to tease a new clothing label that’s anti-plastic and pro-sustainability. The singer shared a photo of an embroidered blue hoodie that reads ‘Sustainability Gang’ and we instantly wanted in.

SZA shared even more images of the line, dubbed Ctrl Fishing Company, on her Instagram story. Our personal favourite being one embroidered ‘Puck Flastic’ and featuring adorable seahorses and whales. In the comments the singer confirmed that 100% of the line’s proceeds would go to sustainability efforts. We stan a queen who follows through.

SZA’s label comes as a spotlight lands on waste in the fashion industry and as the anti-plastic movement continues to gain momentum. Recently sportswear giant adidas announced plans to use only recycled plastics company-wide by 2024. Hopefully as prominent companies and public figures like SZA continue to throw their weight behind reducing single-use plastics we’ll start to see sustainability issues get wider attention.
