Streetwear fans rejoice, as Stüssy has joined forces with Dover Street Market yet again to release a new range of design-led garms. After collaborating last year for Stüssy’s 35th anniversary, the dream team is back working with talented Swedish-based designer Daniele Toneatti to create two new t-shirt designs and a hat. Truly embracing the art of appropriation, the eclectic drop takes inspiration from a wide range of sources, referencing everything from 90s UK rave flyers and Martin Kippenberger’s show notes to Richard Prince’s Canal Zone series and the photography of Patrick Cariou. One design is inspired by Polish designer Roman Cieslewicz’s reworked version of the Mona Lisa, and features a trippy, fragmented illustration of a hyper-realist Californian girl. The second celebrates the beauty of a sunset on acid, supplying a high dose of 90s style graphics. Follow Liam MacRae’s lens as Nico Jacobsen explores an urban landscape…

When discussing the wonder of DSM, Stüssy’s very own Ryan Willms said, “It is the most exciting retailer in the world. The product is exciting, the spaces are special, the mix of brands, and the focus on working with new talented people keeps the energy really authentic. It’s one of the few places where you can go in, and you might actually find something you didn’t know about.”

The collection will be available in-store and online from Dover Street Market from September 10.
