Tens of thousands of Brits took to the streets of London over the weekend to protest the controversial result of the Brexit referendum, which will see Britain leave the European Union over the next two years.
The rally began at Hyde Park, and protesters marched all the way to Downing Street. In the crowd were Alexa Chung, Pixie Geldof, Sibling’s Cozette McCreary and Palace model Blondey McCoy. Blondey wrote on Instagram, “The result as it stands is a TOTAL betrayal to the youth, whom it will affect the most.” Alexa held a sign which read “I only wanna be with EU.”
Vivienne Westwood, never one to shy away from a protest, was also present. In the lead up to voting, the i-D icon actively campaigned to Remain, joining Keira Knightley and Lily Cole in the “Don’t fuck my future campaign.” Despite their best efforts, the narrow vote was not what the fashion world had hoped for. As Blondey wrote, “Lose with grace, but never give up.”
