The new photos from Netflix’s series The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina are here, and that means summer is officially over. Maybe it’s because summer feels like it’s gone on for 56 years now but we’re actually quite ready for Halloween, you know. Cold weather, horror movies, great coats, spooky new TV… And while we’ve still got to wait quite a while till then, we do have some brand new photos from The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina to tide us over.
Debuting on Netflix this October, the show sees former Mad Men kid Kiernan Shipka starring as Sabrina, a teenage witch (obviously) who lives with her aunts (played by Lucy Davis and Miranda Otto). And if these new photos just revealed by Entertainment Weekly are anything to go by, it looks like it’s going to be good. Like, really good.
In one pic Kiernan is seen kneeling in woodland in Carrie-esque nightwear, surrounded by a trio dubbed the Weird Sisters. In another she’s seen walking through the woods in a scarlet coat, looking like a sinister Little Red Riding Hood.
Created by Riverdale showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina promises to be a dark coming of age tale as the titular character battles the forces of good and evil that surround her. Hilda and Zelda are shook.
