The nominations for the Fashion Awards 2016 have been announced and, as previously reported, will this year celebrate industry from around the globe, as well as the usual crop of homegrown UK talent (the awards were previously known as the British Fashion Awards).
Hopefuls for the coveted Womenswear Designer of the Year award include Christopher Kane, Simone Rocha and 2015 winner Jonathan Anderson; while Charles Jeffrey, Faustine Steinmetz and Molly Goddard are up against one another in the British Emerging Talent category. Adwoa Aboah, who graced the cover of our The Female Gaze Issue this summer, lines up alongside fellow i-D star Lineisy Montero, as well as Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner for the International Model award.
Swarovski is the event’s official partner for the third year running, with the ceremony also functioning as a Met Ball-style gala fundraiser; all money raised going towards the BFC’s Education Foundation.
