The Weeknd shared a brand new video this afternoon for Tell Your Friends, the Kanye-produced track previewed on Instagram by Travi$ Scott from a performance at a Las Vegas nightclub.

Continuing the dark themes of recent singles The Hills and Can’t Feel My Face — both accompanied by videos also directed by Grant Singer — the smooth and skeletal clip shows Abel Tesfaye, fully equipped with the spade, boots and coat of an undertaker, appear to bury a version of himself alive in the glow of a moody sunset. After Tesfaye flees the scene in a luxe black whip, the film ends dramatically with a shot of the dark road solely lit by headlamps.

The video features a Singer staple character that has followed The Weeknd through his last two videos: a haunting figure played by Rick Wilder, former frontman of 1970s Hollywood punk band The Mau-Maus. Assuming this is not the final in the series of videos, Wilder is likely to appear again in some form.

Following the leak of his album, The Weeknd shared an 18-minute preview on Soundcloud of the whole record, before it’s official release this week. Beauty Behind The Madness is slated for release at the end of this week; preview it below.
