London College of Fashion wrapped up graduate season last night in a veil of nude shades, trailing strings and giant protest flags. 20 collaborative collections made their way down the runway, but the evening’s winners – judged by a panel including i-D Acting Editor Sarah Raphael – were Womenswear designers Rosemary Lambert and Kate Donald, Fashion Contour graduate Sian O’Neill, Jewellery designer Tanaporn Wongsa and Textiles graduate Kate Cheung Wing Ki. Collectively they were inspired by Russian photographer Boris Mikhailov, skin disorders and Victorian flower shows, and sent a joint collection of bedraggled Ophelias, traipsing jewel-toned flowers down the runway in nude nighties and lingerie.

Other standouts of the night were the collaborative collection between Menswear and Womenswear graduates Isobel R. Cook and Jay Biscarra respectively, and Textiles and Millinery designer Giverny-Grace Volrath, with their wood paneled armour; Kenji Lau and Angela Domale’s protest flags, and #DiversityNOW! Winner Nathalie Ballout, with her preachers of peace clad in textiles free of structure.

Students’ inspiration never runs dry, memorise their names, they are the future of fashion!
