Venetian brand Golden Goose Deluxe have just made a shoe with actual gold in it. Obviously they have, luxury is what the Italians do best: Luxury and pasta and complimentary nibbles with your Aperol Spritz. They come in black or white with a 24 carat gold leaf on the right side, applied by hand — meaning that no pair are the same. They’re called the Hi Star: Hi as in ‘Hey there!’ Hi as in ‘higher meaning’, hi as in they’ve added an extra 0.5 cm to the sole of shoe so that you are literally higher.
