23-year-old Alejandro Silva has been making music as Merca Bae for almost eight years now, between Spain and England. A native of Salamanca, at the age of 18 he moved to Madrid to study sound engineering before moving to London in 2016. His first official EP, Mystico was released on Perth Records back in January: five tracks that perfectly sum up his artistic career, developed around the enormous influence and fascination for Latin and Afro-Caribbean culture and the wider diaspora. Every one of his productions and DJ sets are a self-declared homage to the urban music genres he grew up with.

This mix is a bit like the mood of his Mystic tour, which since February has taken him around Europe, Canada and in the coming months USA and South Korea. Expect: 53 minutes of dembow, reggaeton, dancehall and more.

Press play, listen and have fun.
