Now you’ve got your shiny new 2016 calendar, it’s time to fill it with live music, and today has brought a rich crop of gig announcements.
Grimes has revealed that she will be touring with Florence Welsh, supporting Florence and the Machine at a string of gigs in the southern states of America, taking in Texas, Kansas, Colorado in May 2016, with dates in Minnesota and New York in June. The dates follow on from Grimes’ headline UK dates in March.
Foals plan to be on the road from the end of January until August in an incredible string of shows to support their recent album What Went Down. The tour starts in Europe before hitting Mexico and the US, heading back to Europe, taking on Central and South America, before finishing back in Norway. Phew!
Australian psych rock band Tame Impala will perform tracks from their latest album Currents in a tour starting at the end of January in Europe, with February dates in Manchester and London, before moving on to South, Central and North America.
Taking a leaf out of Rihanna’s book, Tinashe has announced the Joyride world tour, before any sign of a release date for her upcoming sophomore album of the same name. With a long string of dates throughout the US and Canada, the Player singer will head to Europe, with three UK dates, before moving on to Japan, New Zealand and Australia.
