Travi$ Scott took inspiration from the fashion choices of a young North West, daughter of Kim and Kanye, for his new track 3500, the lead single from his hotly-anticipated debut album Rodeo. The second line of the hook is “thirty five hundred for the coat,” which seems pretty non-specific, but earlier this morning Scott posted a screenshot of a news story from February this year asking “Is North West wearing at $3,500 coat?”.
Scott revealed 3500 for the first time playing live at Hot 97’s Summer Jam festival, where he encouraged fans to jump over the barricades into the photographers’ pit and told a cameraman to, “get your fucking nerdy ass off the stage, bro!”. Featuring a ton of voice modulation, the track begins with a quick intro by Future, rapping “Ain’t nobody triller than Scott” before a dramatic build into the low, bouncing beat that backs verses by Scott, Future and 2 Chainz.

Scott’s debut album Rodeo could drop in the next few days, as hinted at by producer Mike Dean on Twitter. Referencing Scott’s second mixtape, 2014’s Days Before Rodeo, Dean tweeted on Friday, “It truly is days before rodeo.”
