Travi$ Scott has dropped a new video for Piss On Your Grave, featuring himself and Kanye West stumbling through some woods — wearing Yeezy, obvs —into a clearing, where a masked death-like figure swirls around them and, err, sits in a tree. Directed by Nabil, the video is some “lo fi shit” according to Scott, but does feature some cool effects when Kanye spits the chorus in an almost-tourettic style and jolts a shadow of himself out of his body.
Speaking on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show, Scott revealed that the masked figure is actually Mos Def, and the video was organized last minute from his hotel room in Paris: “I just called Ye,” he says, after pausing the call briefly to say, “Hold on, I’m walking on a plane. Rapper life out here.” Sure is.
Scott reveals there will be more music from him soon: “I wanna say like, December for the kids,” he says, before dropping a potentially juicy hint about the release of Kanye long-anticipated next album. “And that Kanye album. Ok. Let me hang up before it gets crazy,” Scott says, while Lowe can barely contain himself. “That Ye album is nothing to sleep on,” Scott continues, “And that Ye album, it’s coming… It’s coming very soon. It’s lit.”
