Troye Sivan continued on his mission to “Make America Gay Again” on Monday night, by helping a fan come out to her mum in Washington D.C. In a video posted to Twitter, the 20-year-old Youth singer is just about to read a note thrown on stage, when he pauses to ask, “Are you sure?” As the fan shouts “yes” he then continues: “If you’re reading this, can you announce that Kelly is bisexual, please?” [cue entirely thunderous applause].

Sivan, of course, is no stranger to LGBT issues, having used his fame to help break down barriers towards sexuality since first coming out on YouTube in 2013. And it seems his actions are encouraging fans to feel comfortable enough to do it themselves, with Kelly sharing a video and her mom embracing after the show. What a guy.
