The franchise shows no signs of dying, as six new screenplays based on the characters from the series have been unveiled.

Winners of a competition called The Storytellers: New Voices of Twilight Saga are set to have their fan fiction turned into short films which will air on Facebook. The project, aimed at galvanising young female talent in film was open to women only over the age of 13 and was judged by Twilight author Stephanie Meyer, alongside representatives from Women in Film, Volvo, Lionsgate and Facebook.

This means that Alice Cullen, played by Ashley Greene in the film franchise, will get fresh interpretation of her stories. Three of the chosen screenplays focus on the adoptive sister of Edward Cullen. Bella, played by Kristen Stewart, will not feature as the stories had to take place before she arrived in the town of Forks, Washington and sent Edward into a swoon.

Stewart will be involved in mentoring the winners through the filmmaking process along with Meyer, Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke, Kate Winslet and Octavia Spencer. Edward’s adoptive dad, Carlisle Cullen, also gets a chance to tell some of his story in one chosen screenplay. But unlike some of the wilder Twilight fan fiction, you won’t find Edward copping off with Jacob; all entries had to be geared towards a PG rating, sadly.

You can have a look all six here.
