Anne-Marie is the perfect example of an artist putting in the work. After touring with Rudimental solidly for the past two years (plus appearing on four tracks on their album) she delved straight into the studio to get to work on recording and finishing some tracks of her own. The soulful songstress’ R&B flavoured pop vibes saw her sell out her debut headline show at London’s Oslo three months in advance. Superstar in the making? We think so.
Her latest Two Inch Punch and Jonny Lattimer produced single Boy delves into the complex world of dating. Is he into her? Or is he into that boy? Speaking about the video she says, “I worked with Courtney Phillips who’s really easy going and fun. I wanted the video to be playful and bold with a tinge of mischief, which he’s captured perfectly. The song’s about the uncertainties of dating — you know, like when you’re not sure if that person is into you and it’s all a bit too complex? Yeah, that!”
