Liya Kebede travels to visit her family in Ethiopia for the latest 3.1 Phillip Lim campaign, a series of colourful street compositions by fashion-art photographer Viviane Sassen.
For the third season in a row, Lim has chosen a raw and spontaneous aesthetic, with Sassen shooting on location in Kebede’s hometown, Addis Ababa, without hair, make-up and styling teams.
The model, actor and maternal health advocate is seen in dramatic shirting and luxurious sports tailoring against colourful backdrop of painted walls and clear blue skies, as well as appearing alongside her parents, kids playing football and a group of smiling women wearing crisp white headscarves.
