We’ve brought you an i-D meets with Charli XCX, we’ve brought you imaginings on what it would be like to date almost all of the vast number of boys in her Boys video, in the process sacrificing all the energy I can muster towards dating — to the point where I am yet to go on an actual date since writing that article.
Now we bring you news of the just released behind the scenes video from the set of Boys, because the initial two minutes and 46 seconds watching 70 odd boys punch iron on a pink background and drizzle syrup over pancakes was, quite frankly, not enough — as indicated by the approximate 102391 times we’ve played the video since. Thankfully, we can now watch the boys of Boys talk about being a boy in Boys (look, there’s a lot of boys). We can watch one laboriously sift through a can of alphabet spaghetti trying to find another X before deciding that he might need to open another can. We can watch lots frolic around a Coachella party getting their head shaved and holding puppies. We can watch even more glorious footage of a topless Mac deMarco doing things with a guitar.
And the best part? We can watch a girl run the whole show.
