With colourful suits, creepy clown makeup, and slow-mo shots of Wyatt and Fletcher Shears making it rain, The Garden‘s “Call This # Now” is like a weird and wonderful West Coast Mighty Boosh sketch. A hyperactive follow up to the twin brothers’ Epitaph/Burger Records released debut LP Haha, the racing track is the best kind of mad.

“‘Call This # Now’ represents all of the sleaze and slime that can surround you within business,” the band explains. “It represents how life can be masked, untrustworthy, and how there are several different ways you can get drawn in. The fact of the matter is that there will be big shots everywhere and this is an example of how you can get sucked right in. The vibe surrounding the video is grim, deceiving, and uncertain, yet colorful, blissful and hopeful — just how life can be.”

As the twins continue their European tour in Amsterdam tonight, take a long hard look at this…

    Wanna be a big shot?
    W: No way Jose.

What’s the story behind ‘Call This # Now’?
W: ‘Call This # Now’ represents the sleaze and the slime within the business we currently operate in. It goes for other types as well. It highlights grim realities of life while givin’ the viewer a lil’ wink and a smile 😉

How did you come across your co-star, Tommy Midnight?
F: He’s an old friend of ours.
W: He approached me about my bass and how he thought it was a great model back when I was still in high school. He has always been friendly.

Where does your love of dressing up come from?
F: The movie feardotcom got me into that sort of thing.
    W: Halloween.

Did you have a favorite childhood dress-up costume?
    F: No, sorry everyone.
    W: Probably a sideways hat.

    What’s your favorite pizza topping?
    F: Olives I guess.
W: My favorite part of a pizza is the tip. Because at that point, you think you’re making a good decision.

What # should we call now?
F: Watch the video again and you’ll find out.
W: Call the number in the movie One Missed Call. That movie won a few Oscars I think. I might be wrong… but I think it’s still winning Oscars to this day.

Are you the kind of people that would call a random # you see in the street?
    F: Probably not, sorry everyone.
W: Realistically, no. Unless it’s a FOR RENT sign.

What would you want to happen if you did?
F: I would want whatever I expected to happen to happen.
W: I would hope that they can speak English or else we are gonna have an issue. Because the only other language I can speak is “SKY-RYAN”

    Tell us a joke, jesters…
F: I don’t have any, we’re out here playin’ tricks, not really telling jokes.
W: The first two words of this website will help me complete this request: I.D.K. ANSWER: ID 😉

If you could indeed shape shift into anything, what would you shape shift in to?
    F: I’d shape shift into a T- bird.
    W: Probably a Tube Chip.

What’s the best thing you’ve ever won?
F: Something from a claw vending machine. You get a pretty special feeling once you’ve accomplished that.
W: One time I won 48K in Rhode Island. I still have most of it.

What’re you most looking forward to about your European tour?
F: Looking forward to feeling different about this tour opposed to the last tour we did here. New venues, some new cities, new mindset, new experience.
W: I hope to walk away with a different/positive outlook on it after. I believe this is our seventh or eighth one.

Who is your favorite sleazy movie character?
    F: Jack Black.
    W: Tommy Vercetti.

Looks like you’ve given up on the Thomas and friends Instagram since we last spoke?
W: Nah, it’s still makin’ me money each month. When The Garden is done, that is what I will fall back on.
