With nearly every woman on the red carpet donning black at last night’s Golden Globes to protest against sexual violence and harassment in the film industry, and Natalie Portman’s icy nod to an all-male Best Director category, it was the perfect time to the trailer to Rose McGowan’s new documentary series to drop.
Premiering at 8pm on Tuesday 30th January, the five part series (which begins with a two hour special) chronicles Rose’s experiences in combatting sexual harassment in Hollywood, and her preparation to release her memoir Brave.
“I decided not to be silent,” Rose explains in the trailer for Citizen Rose, billed as “a true story bigger than Hollywood”. “I knew there were others out there, and there was a lot of us.”
