What do you do? Maria: Fashion retail management.
Adeola: Student.
Why is it important that people register to vote? Maria: In order to be part of your community it is essential that you make your voice heard.
Adeola: Because it is a means of providing regular and perhaps underrepresented people with a voice and opportunity to determine or shape their future.
Why are you Vote Remain? Maria: Europe is a family.
Adeola: Being able to say I am part of a greater European community since most of my new friends at uni are European.
What would you like to say anyone wanting us to leave the EU? Maria: I would tell them to think about their actions and think about the difference that leaving would make. Don’t just think about the economics of it.
Adeola: Look at the bigger picture and think about the future.
If you were a politician, what would you do differently? Maria: Educate society on the positive things that being part of Europe brings us.
Adeola: I wouldn’t wait until there was a referendum to illustrate and educate people regarding the benefits of the EU.

What do you do? Journalist.
Why is it important that people register to vote? So they can actually vote in two weeks.
Why are you Vote Remain? Because I believe in unity as the best way to make and see change.
What do you say to those who want to leave the EU? Just because the EU is fraught with problems we shouldn’t get rid of it.
What’s the best thing about Britain being in the EU? Free movement of people and trade, and a united continent of different religions and races.
If you were a politician, what would you do differently? I would argue for the EU to be a democratically elected body who make economic decisions that empower the countries they represent. Not solely those with economic power.
Can/should fashion be political? It can but it shouldn’t have to be.

Why is it important that people register to vote? The only way to change anything is to speak up.
Why are you Vote Remain? I hate the idea that we’d isolate ourselves. That spirit seems nasty and small minded.
What do you say to those who want to leave the EU? Pursuing a policy of separatism and fear-mongering will get us nowhere.
What’s the best thing about Britain being in the EU? Shared ideas, culture and heritage.
And the worst? Are there any changes you’d like to see? Of course we should cut red tape — but it’s not the scandal some on the right sell it as.
Can/should fashion be political? Of course! It’s cultural movement and has every right to its say.

Matthew: Editorial assistant at i-D.
Why is it important that people register to vote? Lynette: We can no longer blame the past generation for our misfortunes. It is imperative, it is our duty, and it is a catalyst for change.
Matthew: Because it’s one of the most important tools of democracy (but not the only one!)
Why are you Vote Remain? Lynette: I think of all the incredible things the EU has has given us, the way it has helped and made Europe and open more accessible place.
Matthew: Because I think that people should always try and come together, not apart.
What’s the best thing about Britain being in the EU? Lynette: Diversity. I don’t want to walk around and see everyone who is the same! Ask yourself why. If your reasons are selfish, bigoted, ill-informed, or dated, then think about why you feel that way.
Matthew: The croissants!
If you were a politician, what would you do differently? Lynette: I’d rob the second homes of the rich give them to the poor, Robin Hood style.
Matthew: All of it.
Can/should fashion be political? Lynette: Absolutely! A long line of iconic designers have shown fashion can be political.
Matthew: Fashion is about everything but clothes.

Why is it important that people register to vote? We have an opportunity to use our voice, so we should take it. Don’t let others decided the future for you.

What’s the best thing about Britain being in the EU? The diverse mix of cultures. The fact you can be drinking wine in France on one day, eating pizza in Italy the next, and then fly home for a full English.
Can/should fashion be political? It can and it should wherever possible!

Why are you Vote Remain? I believe unity is a good thing.
What do you say to those who want to leave the EU? There will always be a fear of other or different people whether we are in the EU or not.
What’s the best thing about Britain being in the EU? Easy to travel and work abroad.
And the worst? Are there any changes you’d like to see? Meetings are held in secret and without minutes in Brussels.
