    Loewe’s Paula’s Ibiza fragrance

    Wear… Loewe’s Paula’s Ibiza fragrance

Designed to transport us to the location in its name, Loewe’s Paula’s Ibiza collection has continually acted as a reprieve from the chilly and mundane nature of pre-summer weather. Consider their collection of fragrances — returning this summer with a new campaign courtesy of Gray Sorrenti — the ultimate tool in taking us there. Buy your fragrance here.

    Gomi speaker collection 1

    Buy… Gomi speaker

We’re at a stage of trying to find tech that blends in seamlessly to our daily life — but eye-catching colour is important. Gomi are a company creating limited edition speakers with marbled casing created entirely from discarded flexible plastic and e-bike batteries — two things most consider unsalvageable. The results are powerful and one-of-a-kind. Buy yours from collection one here.

Bottega Veneta and Mark Leckey’s listening space installation at Horst, featuring a mountain against a cloudy backdrop with the sun poking through

Go to… Bottega Veneta and Mark Leckey’s listening space at Horst

The iconic Horst festival, set on the outskirt of Brussels, Belgium, returns for another year this weekend. In 2023, the Turner Prize-winning artist Mark Leckey and our good friends at Bottega Veneta have linked up to co-curate a dedicated listening space, titled roll pitch yaw – surge heave sway. A mix of live music, DJ sets and ambient non-clubbing set-ups, artists like Richie Culver and Vegyn will be there, performing in the company of an installation by Leckey himself. Find out more here.

Go to… the Hai pop-up store

Fans of pearls, ruffles and dressing up box nostalgia ought to get themselves down to 16 Calvert Avenue in Shoreditch. Why? To experience what Hai, London-based purveyors of seriously lovely silk goods, have to offer of course. Following much-loved pop-ups in New York and Seoul, they’ll be open every day until 31 May.

    The Georgian - Exterior

Stay at… The Georgian, Santa Monica

If you find yourself in Santa Monica, be sure to stay at The Georgian. The iconic hotel, first launched in the 30s and recently renovated, has been a staple part of the city’s coastline, overlooking the ocean. Replete with era-appropriate art deco features and a colour scheme straight out of a Wes Anderson film, it’s also home to a stacked library of rare books, featuring works by the likes of Joan Didion to Christopher Isherwood. Fantasy material. Book your room here.

    Watch… Return to Seoul

A big hit at last year’s Cannes Film Festival, this movie from director Davy Chou charts the journey made by a 25-year-old French woman back to the titular city she was born in before she was adopted. While there, she tries to find her birth parents, only for the trip to take a strange turn. It’s in UK cinemas from Friday 7 May.

    Listen to… Manic Dream Pixie

After blowing up on TikTok with her blasphemy bop “God Is A Freak” and the Paris Hilton-sampling bubblegum track “Perfect For You”, pink-pilled Aussie singer Peach PRC has released her debut EP. With lyrics that are iconically unapologetic and devastatingly heartbreaking in equal measure — paired with an addictively glitzy pop sound dripping in Y2K nostalgia — listen to the full EP above and check out our interview with the up-and-coming star.

    Porca Miseria

    Check out… Porca Miseria

If you’re a) in London and b) interested in dance, take the time to see at least one part of choreographer Trajal Harrell’s new creation. Porca Miseria is a trilogy of dance pieces — incorporating everything from Voguing to Japanese butoh to contemporary stylings — that tell the tales of three different characters from literature and culture. Performances start on Friday 12 May. Check out tickets here.

    Check out… Fight4Aylesbury

As gentrification scars major cities across the globe, one resident on a social housing estate in South London is turning her flat into a place of protest. An exhibition highlighting the history of the Aylesbury Estate and the people who’ve passed through it is taking place until 8 May. Aysen, the flat’s owner, is one of the last remaining residents.
