Amandla Stenberg, the actress best known for playing Rue in The Hunger Games, brought Jaden Smith to her prom- and they both killed it. Stenberg wore gold, Jaden kept his palette decidedly minimal. Both of the young creatives have previously championed positive social change: Amandla created the excellent video primer in cultural appropriation Don’t Cash Crop On My Cornrows while Jaden has repeatedly critiqued arbitrary gender binaries. They’re a pair i-D is decidedly behind.
