Slip into the mind of the lobby boy inspired by Wes Anderson’s latest masterpiece in this computer game created by students.

It may have no real affiliation with Wes Anderson, but Maquisard, the desktop game created by students at New York University’s Game Center, has all the pastel quaintness and aesthetically pleasing symmetry of The Grand Budapest Hotel.

The definition of Maquisard is “a guerilla fighter in the French underground in World War II,” so slip into your mauve uniform and don your lobby boy hat, it’s time to suss out the government agent hiding in your beloved, color-coordinated hotel. The aim of the game is to eavesdrop on guests, keeping tabs on them until you can figure out which one of them is holding the secret documents you need. You may not have M. Gustave around to yell, “Take your hands off my lobby boy!” when things get rough, but you’re ready to go it alone… It’s time to help the resistance!

Maquisard can be downloaded for Mac or PC here.
