September is a month between seasons – the end of summer for some, the beginning of spring for others. The time brings change no matter where you are in the world. In this latest round of photos there are moments of golden-hued stillness captured at dusk in France and the Netherlands and unexpected mountaineering guests in the Alps, while photographs from Lebanon and Pakistan capture hushed moments from places now in historically significant states of unrest – one facing a brutal invasion by Israel, the other the beginning of a protest movement that has the potential to revolutionise the country’s political landscape. The images speak for themselves. So here it is – your month in photos.
