Glenn Martens has looked to his friends, family, and even Y/Project staff for the label’s decidedly unconventional autumn/winter 17 campaign. Photographed by Arnaud Lajeunie over a period of months, the campaign spans multiple locations including Paris and New York. The brilliantly scattershot imagery is a celebration of the diverse influences (and people) that make the brand what it is, and yes — one star is indeed an intern in the Paris atelier.
The refreshing casting sees mature talent and models of colour represented much better than current industry standards. Disappointingly, the Fashion Spot’s most recent spring/summer 17 diversity report saw the presence of non-white models in campaigns increase just 1.2 percent from the season prior.
