There is something awe inspiring about watching BTS on stage: seven young men exuding wild, high octane energy for a two-and-a-half hour live performance in front of 50,000 (or more) people at a time. They are the image of cultural resilience, who’ve dominated not only the K-Pop scene but pop as a whole, as a result of their militant hard work.
Over the past three years, the group have let us peek behind the curtain at their life and live shows. 2018 gave us Burn The Stage, a concert movie so mega it smashed the ticket sales figures for a musical film that One Direction had set a few years prior. Then, we got a glitzy insight into the Love Yourself show in Seoul in a recorded live performance. And just last year, as that tour came to a close, we followed the boys through their final European dates in another on screen experience, Bring the Soul.
Well, fans who were sad to hear of the postponement of the group’s forthcoming Map of the Soul tour in Europe have another of these shows to tide them over in the meantime. Break The Silence, which takes us behind the scenes of the group’s Love Yourself: Speak Yourself tour, is set to debut on 12 May through the Korean stan app WeVerse, and is available to preorder now.
There’s still a few painful weeks to get through until then, so in the meantime, the boys have dropped this new trailer for the docuseries. Tune in and stan with the rest of us next month!
