Calling all David Lynch fans: the legendary director will soon be coming to a screen near you, and not just via the Twin Peaks reboot. Yep, that’s right, our boy Dave will be dusting off his acting shoes and appearing in a new TV show called Lucky, directed by John Carroll Lynch (weirdly, no relation to David).
As fans will know, this isn’t the first time David has graced us with his on-screen presence. Remember Gordon Cole, the extremely hard of hearing Regional Bureau Chief and Agent Cooper’s immediate superior in Twin Peaks? Well, that was Lynch. This time he’ll be joining longtime collaborator Harry Dean Stanton — who appeared in the Twin Peaks prequel film, Fire Walk With Me — as one of the weird inhabitants of a remote desert town.
“Lucky tells the story of the journey we are all on,” explains John Carroll Lynch. “Coming to terms with the fragility of life and, if we are lucky, experiencing the precious vitality of the only thing we all share: this moment.” The cast also includes Ed Begley Jr. from Better Call Saul, Ron Livingston and Tom Skerritt.
David Lynch, a desert town and plenty of weirdos, what more could you want?
