Italian classic sportswear brand C.P. Company are celebrating 40 years of material innovation, tech fabric development and speciality dyeing techniques. “The textile sector is the most interesting in terms of experimentation and that is what I base my collections on,” founder Massimo Osti once said; it is a maxim that current C.P. Company creative director and stylist Enzo Fusco has inherited, saying: “Today we devote that same passion and same enthusiasm to the designer sportswear brand that C.P. Company has become, using our experience to keep it up to date”.

C.P. Company are known for their instantly-recognisable Goggle jackets, which have motor racing goggles sewn into the hoods. Designed to be worn by drivers in the historic Mille Miglia motor racing competition, which was a deadly road race until 1957, but has been a more sedate classic and vintage car tour since 1977.

The celebrations will continue throughout 2015, with C.P. Company hosting a party at Pitti Immagine Uomo, where they will present limited edition Goggle jackets in a variety of fabrics, designed in partnership with their suppliers.

The brand are also inviting their fans around the world to celebrate with them online, sharing Goggle jacket selfies on social media with the hashtag #cp40th. The images will be used in a book that they are compiling to celebrate the anniversary.
