If your father is president of the United States, what can you do to top that? Well, Malia Obama, who turned 17 this weekend, has decided to try something completely different. The eldest daughter of Barack was recently spotted on the set of Lena Dunham’s Girls, where she was seen getting coffee, blocking the public from trespassing on set, hanging out with the cast and helping out during recordings. Sounds like some classic intern moves to us.
The theory is strengthened by two facts: earlier this year, Malia and Michelle were welcomed by Columbia and NYU students during campus tours of the New York schools, potentially positioning her in Dunham’s squad’s hood. Secondly: she’s previously worked as a production assistant on Extant, a CBS show starring Halle Berry. Watch this space, or the HBO credits, for more.
