Ever the tease, H&M has released the first three looks from its highly anticipated Kenzo collaboration. Cue flashes of bright, bold color — hot pinks, cotton candy, and electric blue — and a dash of animal print. But, really, what else were you expecting? Delving into Kenzo Takada’s kaleidoscopic archive, Carol Lim and Humberto Leon decided that tiger stripes are indeed the order of the day, seen here in a selection of roll neck tops, caps, bags, high-waisted leggings, and jeans. Yes please!
“We’re celebrating the brand’s 50th anniversary,” Humberto told Vogue, “We’ve kept Kenzo Takada close to our hearts; he comes to all our shows. We want to do something that makes him feel proud.” Shot by i-D fave Oliver Hadlee-Pearch and modeled by a host of bright young creatives — including artist and poet Juliana Huxtable, NY-based human rights activist Amy Sall, and London makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench — the campaign is bursting with energy. We can’t wait to see the rest!
