Lena Dunham and Random House are taking their relationship to the next level. The actress/director/author, along with her Girls and Lenny Letter co-creator Jenni Konner, has teamed up with the publishing giant to form a new imprint called — you guessed it — Lenny Books. The imprint is a natural next step in Dunham’s career as author, having published her best-selling autobiography Not That Kind of Girl under Random House in 2014.

“The imprint will be a home for the kinds of exciting, emerging voices — in fiction and non-fiction — that Lena and Jenni Konner are already attracting and publishing so successfully in their newsletter and on their site,” said Random House to Buzzfeed. “Working with Lena, Jenni and the editors of Lenny, we plan to publish a select number of titles each year to build a varied, compelling, and voice-driven list. Drawing on their eye for talent and love of books, we see this as a perfect opportunity to broaden what we do at Random House, while staying true to our mission: to work with writers we love and to publish them well.”

While Lenny has given the internet-connected world no shortage of fresh perspectives on topical issues, it’s exciting that the cultural clairvoyant sees IRL publications as having equal relevance in 2016. Stay tuned for Lenny’s first book baby, coming soon to spice up a boring commute near you.
