Having created harnesses for the Victoria’s Secret fashion show, collaborated with Prabal Gurung for five seasons of accessories, and maintained her own main line of meticulously handcrafted bondage-inspired pieces, Zana Bayne definitely knows her way around a sexy-silhouette. So it’s no wonder that Marc Jacobs tapped New York’s resident leather maestro to collaborate on a capsule collection of naughty (and nice) accessories. The pierced pasties, studded collars, cheeky cuffs, blindfolds, and tassels are all handmade in NYC and are available right in time for Valentine’s Day.
“Seeing as my work with leather takes some aesthetic cues from elements of fetish, a high fashion take on sex toys has always been a consideration – but the timing had never been right to develop the thought further,” Zana told i-D. “When we were approached by the Marc Jacobs team in September it provided the perfect excuse to play with the concept. The idea was to work on a special selection of sexy Valentine’s Day items that were based on the signature Marc Jacobs heart shape.”
