Li Yuchun aka Chis Lee is a pretty big deal. Having won China’s Super Girl talent show back in 2005, the androgynous singer-turned-actress has released six successful albums, received three Hong Kong Film Award nominations, and beat fellow nominees One Direction to MTV Europe’s 2014 Music Award for Best Worldwide Act. Despite all of the above, unless you’re a supremely cultured individual, it’s fairly unlikely that you’ll have heard of her over here in the west. So, while it might seem like an odd move (from both sides) for Yuchun to be releasing her next single with the young record label that have so far brought us the likes of QT and Hannah Diamond, it is also a brilliant move. The first non PC Music family member to release on the label, Li Yuchun has teamed up with producer A.G. Cook on double A-side Only You/Real Love; both hugely catchy pop bangers. While the tracks aren’t out until 14th December, the videos are available below in all their colourful glory. Directed by Kinga Burza (also responsible for Katy Perry’s I Kissed A Girl and Lana’s Music To Watch Boys To) alongside PC Music creative director and prince of conceptual art Finn Mactaggart, she clearly made full use of a hall of mirrors and more neon lights than even Drake could handle.
