rose mcgowan writes scathing open letter to ‘diagnosable sickness’ donald trump

'Our symptoms are knots in our shoulders, sick feelings in the pit of our vaginas, stomach tightness, shortness of breath, wildly elevated stress levels — we are now chronically experiencing a true mass illness.'

Need more proof that Rose McGowan’s forthcoming memoir is going to be riveting? Try the savage open letter the actress and activist has penned in honor of “diagnosable sickness” Donald Trump. McGowan spent some time on Facebook yesterday composing a caps-heavy letter to the GOP nominee and his “enablers,” specifically CNN, FOX, CBS, ABC, NBC, Viacom, and the Murdoch clan.

“WE ARE BEING POISONED. We, the public, are being sickened by an ever expanding assault on our right to live a healthy and free life,” she wrote. “Our symptoms are knots in our shoulders, sick feelings in the pit of our vaginas, stomach tightness, shortness of breath, wildly elevated stress levels — we are now chronically experiencing a true mass illness.” McGowan later clarified to one commenter that “the pit of our vaginas” is her “nod to women,” a rather large demographic towards which the Trump campaign has been particularly yuck.

Inviting readers to share her post with the hashtag #ROSEARMY, McGowan likens Trump’s daily reign of terror to cancer, and urges mainstream media to stop “poisoning humanity” by giving more airtime and column inches to his bigoted diatribes. “Go rogue, reverse course, be BRAVE,” she writes. “He is a murderer in the making. Do NOT AID AND ABET A CRIME,” she implores before signing off with four commandments: “UNPLUG THE MICROPHONES,” “STOP COVERING HIM,” “TURN THE LIGHTS OUT,” and “STOP THE CANCER.”

McGowan’s latest powerful rampage drives home the speech Lena Dunham and America Ferrera gave at the Democratic National Convention last month — during which they touched upon race relations, women’s rights, and why celebrities shouldn’t be listened to in politics. “Why would you care what some television celebrity has to say about politics?” Dunham asked. “We feel the same way,” added Ferrera, “But [Trump] is the Republican nominee, so we need to talk about him.” McGowan, on the other hand, is a whole lot more than just a very recognizable face.
