Pharrell’s Humanrace are launching two new SPFs to protect your skin
We don’t know if Pharrell is psychic or if the planet is a stan of his or something but it just so happens that on the hottest day in Earth’s existence (we exaggerate, it’s the heatstroke talking) the music genius turned beauty guru Humanrace, has announced today two suncare products from his brand to protect your gorgeous skin as you lounge around the park catching rays. We all want to look like Pharrell and that’s not going to happen without SPF and so their latest additions to their line of skincare products is an Ozone Face Protection Daily Moisturiser and an Ozone Body Protection Cream. Developed with Pharrell’s own personal dermatologist, both products have a factor level of 30, are mineral-based with non-nano zinc oxide and snow mushroom extract, and designed for all skin tones in order to dispel those misconceptions that people of colour don’t need sunscreen and don’t also need to apply it regularly. The moisturiser also has Blue Light Protection to keep those nasty rays from your phone screen at bay too. What’s more, the products, which will launch 14 July 2022, are both held within 50% recycled plastics and are refillable, meaning they’re not just protecting us from the environment but the environment from us. It’s everything we could possibly want from our beauty products! Lather up well this summer girlies! Looking like a lobster is très unchic. TG
Arnar Mar Jonsson becomes RANRA
In exciting news from London, one of the city’s brightest emerging labels has just revealed a brand new look! Yes, after making waves for introducing an artisanal, subtly sensual perspective to the world of performancewear, Arnar Mar Jonsson – the label founded in 2018 by its namesake and Luke Stevens in 2018 – has revealed a fresh identity, changing its name to the rather more enigmatic RANRA in the process. As well as continuing to put out new collections – the next of which is set to be presented during Copenhagen Fashion Week in August – the brand will also open a new creative hub where they work with external talents and brands, focussing on sharing their rigorous knowledge of textile development and product design. Keep your eyes peeled for the inevitable marvels that are sure to come of this! MS
Tiffany & Co. are bringing their most iconic diamonds to London’s Saatchi Gallery
If you’re looking for a cute date spot this summer that shows your admirer you’re a fashion baddie but also an intellectual, then might we suggest heading over to the Saatchi Gallery in London. To mark Tiffany & Co.’s 150th anniversary of being in London, an exhibition is being held there and will hold over 400 objects from the house’s archive including previous collaborations with Andy Warhol, Paloma Picasso and Supreme, as well as an entire room dedicated to the famed Audrey Hepburn movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s. The exhibition is named after two core values of the house, “Vision and Virtuosity”, and will take us through the history and legacy of the renowned jewellers and the three faces who have stood at its helm: Charles Lewis Tiffany, Jean Schlumberger and, currently, Elsa Peretti. “‘Vision & Virtuosity’ celebrates the House’s most defining moments, showcases the incredible collection of archives and exemplifies why Tiffany & Co. is such an iconic brand.” says Alexandre Arnault, VP of Product and Communications at Tiffany & Co. Security keep an eye out for Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway and Rihanna though. TG
Browns platforms a new generation of young designers
One thing London is known for, in fashion circles at least, is the number of institutions committed to supporting the city’s community of bright young talents. Among them, one of the most notable is Browns, the store that first brought Comme des Garçons to the UK and helped launch the careers of John Galliano and Alexander McQueen. This week, the style emporium launched the second iteration of Browns Focus, a platform purpose built to uplift a selection of tomorrow’s brightest designers through sale of exclusive capsule collections. With this year’s edition staged in collaboration with HOME by Ronan McKenzie – the imagemaker’s multifunctional creative space designed to inspire, share and support the next wave of BIPOC talent – this year’s seven selected talents represented the brightest and best that London’s design community has to offer: Ahluwalia, Bethany Williams, FEBEN, Namacheko, Nicholas Daley, SELASI and Wales Bonner. “I strongly believe that it’s more important than ever before to highlight emerging brands, as they represent what fashion will be not only today, but tomorrow and beyond,” Ida Petersson, Browns’ Buying Director says. “Without their curiosity and talent we can’t progress as an industry, and it’s our responsibility as a retailer to support and nurture these designers.” Head here to cop looks from fashion’s future leaders today!
