Take a virtual tour through the V&A with Richard E. Grant

A new Youtube series browses through iconic museum’s collections.

After weeks of staring at the walls of your apartment, a trip around London’s V&A Museum sounds kind of out of this world — the long corridors crammed with classical sculpture, the sunny inner courtyard, the art. Not to mention the fashion exhibitions, which have ranged from David Bowie’s iconic fashions, to Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty. With it unclear as to when we’ll be allowed to take a leisurely wander around the museum, however, the Mental Health Foundation has come up with a way to let you back into the museum. Directed by Beau Kerouac, the series of films, entitled Wander, guide you around museums as actors narrate their favourite works – the first being Oscar nominee Richard E. Grant reading Alice in Wonderland. “Wander was conceived to bring joy and escapism to everyone, in an easy, accessible and interesting way,” says Beau. “With all the museums currently closed, we can’t spend time walking the peaceful corridors of these places we all love.” See the first in the series below, and stay tuned for episodes featuring the Royal Albert Hall and Van Gogh Museum.
