Looks like we’ve found the soundtrack to your summer: Frank Ocean’s upcoming album. Frank used his usual lo-fi Tumblr to unleash the latest news, and whilst he’s never explicit or expansive, the web has surmised that he’s got both an album and a magazine out in July. “I got two versions. I got twooo versions…” he said at the bottom of two photos that saw him rocking some 98 yellow and orange Nike Air Max Plus (or TN, or Tuned 1). He also hashtagged #issue1, #album3, #july2015 and #boysdontcry and a spokesperson has confirmed both music and print releases to Billboard.

We know next-to-nothing about the music (except for the memrise track he released a few months back) but we do hear that the magazine (which also looks like it’s called Boys Don’t Cry) will be all about one of his biggest passions: cars. Since Frank’s image posts are always very carefully considered, there should be no ignoring the frog in the framed poster to the side of him (above). After Shelley Duvall ’72 (Frogs on the High Line) was an art show at New York’s Maccarone gallery that The New Yorker described as, “This sprawling group show is a hot mess—and some may find portions of it disturbing—but its mastermind, Bjarne Melgaard, who represented Norway at the Venice Biennale this summer, poses important questions about free speech, gay rights, race, and the agency of the artist.” Issues that could well be at the center of the upcoming record.
