Press play on the ten new releases we've had on repeat this week.

    Our Girl, Being Around

From the same label that brought you the very good noise of Dream Wife, come Our Girl: a shiny new Brighton three piece peddling a fine line in hazy, shoegaze pop. “Being Around is probably the most hopeful song on the EP,” says frontwoman on their upcoming release. “It focuses on the positivity in the relationships I have, and the gratitude and care I have towards those people for being who they are, and being there for me in the way they are.” Ahh. You can get it on 12″ too, if you’re into that sort of thing.

    EBOHNI, Bye Baby

Hot new Toronto artist EBOHNI called on soundcloud favourite XELΛRΛIN to produce this very pleasing future RnB break-up song that confirms exactly what we suspected: Twitter stalking exes is the worst and Bye Baby is the best.

Cherry Glazerr, I Told You I’d Be With The Guys

Clementine Creevy and her new bandmates killed it with this one. In a blonde wig and great socks, the lone wolf yearns for female solidarity as she realises that sometimes it’s necessary to give a lady love. On Cherry Glazerr’s first single with Secretly Canadian, it sounds to us like the awesome frontwoman has well and truly found her pack.

    Evy Jane, Breaking

Sakura and pastel clouds drift past, introducing us to Evy Jane, her dress dancing in the breeze as her delicate vocals soar through the apparent tribute to Julee Cruise. The kind of thing we’d want to receive a particularly emotional massage to.

    DESSERT, Back Around/Devil

Sumo wrestler and MMA fighter, the late Manny Yarborough, has a really beautifully lit night out before taking a hot air balloon trip that turns hellish as he literally spills his guts. Set to the sounds of little known L.A. band DESSERT and directed by Alex Lill (who just did a great job on Sampha’s Blood On Me), despite what the opening credits tell us, this is probably not suitable for children.

Alicia Keys, Blended Family feat. A$AP Rocky

Alicia Keys is back! That’s always a nice thing to say isn’t? Returning with a poignant ode to her extended family life it is, like the best Alicia Keys, endlessly melodic; completed by a turn here from fellow New Yorker A$AP Rocky.

    Mr Oizo, All Wet

Mr play-on-the-word-bird-in-French is back with really great new album, All Wet. While the Ed Banger record (out September 30th) features the likes of Boys Noize, Peaches and Skrillex, our current favourite track is Hand In The Fire ft. Charli XCX. This lovely compilation video features Flying Lotus as Skrillex.

    Nilüfer Yanya, Keep On Calling

We’ve been banging on about Nilüfer Yanya since we premiered the video for debut single Small Crimes a few weeks ago and for good reason. She’s quiet, she’s cool, she’s quietly cool, and more than worth making a racket about.

GIRLI, Girl I Met On The Internet

Girli’s run of whipsmart pop singles continues with what can only be described as Girls Just Want to Have Fun for the Snapchat generation: an internet-fueled vignette of teenage life that contains some of the young Londoner’s sweetest lyrical moments yet.

    Hannah Diamond, Fade Away

Hannah Diamond’s new one packs the usual mix of bleeps and melancholy, albeit with an increased lightness of touch in the production. “Are we just a memory, already fading,” sings the PC Music alumni. Not at this rate.
