On Friday 4 November, i-D will take over Silfurberg, the main venue within Reykjavik’s imposing Harpa conference hall. With the incredible Warpaint and Santigold as joint headliners, all-female Icelandic rap crew Reykjavikurdaetur will also perform, along with a handpicked selection of local supporting talent.
Aside from the i-D stage, Iceland Airwaves will see hundreds of acts perform across the city, in both official and unofficial venues. The line-up is as impressive as ever, offering up the best of Icelandic music as well as a well-selected handful of international acts, with highlights including Kano, The Internet, PJ Harvey, Let’s Eat Grandma and Dream Wife.
Get to know Reykjavikurdaetur with i-D’s guide to Icelandic hip-hop, below, and see what we got up to with Skepta and JME at Iceland Airwaves 2015.
