It’s not just those with tickets to Madison Square Garden who can score a keepsake from Drake and Future’s “Summer Sixteen” tour when it hits NYC this Thursday and Friday. From August 4 through 7, the Bowery will play to home to a Drake pop-up merch store called “Revenge” — presumably taken from a lyric from the tour’s titular Jay-Z/Kanye/Obama/Meek Mill diss track, in which Drizzy raps, “I’m out here looking for revenge, all summer sixteen.” Located at 208 Bowery, the pop-up will sell threads adorned with Drake’s own face, Drake’s dog Diamond’s face, and various slogans from the tour.
Temporary IRL stores have lately become a prime source of revenue for artists, with Justin Bieber, Kanye, Rihanna, and Drake himself all installing buzzy pop-ups both here and abroad in recent months. Future will also be hosting his own one at 76 Wooster Street in Soho, which is open through August 8.
