MSCHF put a very recognisable “Famous Mouse” on an ancient Greek sculpture. Back in 2021, the  disruptive fashion collective began selling tokens that promised a “Famous Mouse” artwork at $100 a pop with one small catch – buyers would have to wait until 2024 to redeem their token. For those curious enough (and with enough disposable income) to purchase it, the time has come to find out what the tokens are actually good for. As promised, MSCHF have delivered a very famous – and very cursed – mouse in a reimagined version of Laocoön and His Sons. The need to wait three years? Walt Disney’s 1928 rendering of Mickey Mouse is now, finally, in the public domain.
