Over the last few weeks, Google Pixel 3 has invited everyone to open their imagination with a series of workshops, talks, podcasts and music, and i-D was there to host a special night with 2018’s most extraordinary creatives.

The free event, which took place on Friday evening at Google Pixel 3’s Curiosity Rooms, saw five of the UK’s most inventive designers — Claire Barrow, Eden Loweth and Tom Barratt of Art School, and James Theseus Buck and Luke Brooks of Rottingdean Bazaar — join i-D Arts and Culture Editor Matthew Whitehouse for a unique recording of i-D’s weekly fashion podcast, Fash-ON Fash-OFF. Discussing how they use everyday objects and surroundings as the inspiration for their work, the talk explored how extraordinary things are happening all around us — even if we don’t always see them.

Following a short audience Q&A, visitors were treated to a pair of workshops, helmed by Art School and Rottingdean Bazaar. The former, titled Discover your High Concept Character, encouraged participants to style with their own looks from the Art School archive. The latter, titled The Rottingdean Bazaar Guide to Everyday Extraordinary, took the form of a unique mangle printing class, with guests utilising everyday objects to create their own collagraphed mono printed t-shirt.

A weekly podcast of fashion, style, and ideas from the i-D team, the special edition of Fash-ON Fash-OFF will be available to stream and download from Thursday 13 December. To listen, subscribe at Google Podcasts now.

Google Pixel 3’s Curiosity Rooms are open at 55 Regent Street from now until 16 December. Tickets for the events are free. To sign up and keep an eye on what else Google Pixel 3 is doing click here .
