Louis Vuitton’s Keepall Bandoulière 25 Bag mineral grey

    Wear… Louis Vuitton’s Keepall Bandoulière 25 Bag

A “smart city bag” as LV call it, that’s perfect for when you’re heading out with the girlies (a gender-neutral term). We love the new mineral grey colourway with silver-colour hardware. Add it to your shopping bag on the Louis Vuitton website now, or check if your closest store has it in stock.

Heaven by Marc Jacobs x Blumarine

Wear… Heaven by Marc Jacobs x Blumarine

In what can only be called a true combination of iconic Y2K powers, Marc Jacob’s Heaven offshoot has linked up with Nicola Brognano’s sensual, doll-ish Blumarine for the most coveted collab of the year. Think T-shirts, cropped denim and swing-y little handbags. That’s hot! Buy it here.

    hai bridalwear

    Wear… Hai bridal

Heading to the chapel this summer? Getting married in the morning? Our favourite silk merchants at Hai have got you covered! From frilly dupion scrunchies to dreamy lace dresses, you can explore their newly-launched bridal collection online here.

    Eat with… Savant

Sometimes, when you’re hosting friends for dinner or just fancy a treat for yourself, the pressure of knowing what to cook can be all-consuming. Savant, a new UK-based app, helps quash that problem, by giving you not only a walkthrough of the most interesting meals broken down by origin, mood and cuisine, but the opportunity to buy pretty much everything you need for it in-app. Classy and convenient. Check it out here.

    Listen to… Joy Anonymous

Having spent the past few months hitting up Glasto and playing sets across the globe, dance music duo Joy Anonymous have announced their new track “Joy (Head to the Sky)”, which already sounds like the song you’ll hear everywhere this summer. Written, partly, in Imogen Heap’s basement (we know wtf), it’s a proper serotonin-booster. They’ll support Four Tet in London next month. Check out their Insta for more updates here and listen to “Joy (Head to the Sky)” above.

Watch… everything at the Edinburgh Film Festival

The world’s longest continually running film festival turns over a new leaf in 2023. After a rough patch following last year’s event that threatened to shut it down forever, Screen Scotland and an A* programming team are bringing it back with one of its strongest line-ups in years. Alongside special screenings of A24’s Past Lives and our favourite bi movie of 2023 Passages, there’s also the UK premieres of queer London drama Femme, Kelly Reichardt’s much anticipated Showing Up, the new Scottish surfer drama Silent Roar and, for its closing night, Fremont, starring one Jeremy Allen White. It runs from 18-23 August and is on sale now. Head here for the full line-up.

    Go to… The Crucible

In the mood for a fresh look at Arthur Miller’s classic tale of witches and paranoia? The National Theatre’s Olivier-nominated production of The Crucible is back in London’s West End for another run this summer with a new cast including House of the Dragon’s Milly Alcock as Abigail. Director Lyndsey Turner teams up with iconic set designer Es Devlin to present the Salem Witch Trials as you’ve never seen them before. The production runs until 2 September at the Gielgud Theatre and tickets are available here.

    Eat at… Bossa

As you’ll know from our extensive coverage, spanning the white-hot electronic music scene of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro’s ever-morphing beach culture and underground queer Carnival parties, Brazil is a big vibe. Indulging in that vibe, though, is a bit tricky given that it’s at least a 12-hour flight away… now, though, those stricken by saudade have a place to assuage their cravings in Bossa, an impeccably chic, darkwood-accented dining hall in the heart of Mayfair.

The first UK venture of Alberto Landgraf — the man behind Rio’s two Michelin-starred Oteque — extends the esteemed chef’s mission to offer elevated, contemporary riffs on dishes from all four corners of his vast homeland, with the added remit of introducing what, to many, will be pretty novel ingredients — think tucupí, a lip-pursing fermented manioc juice, and cacao-adjacent cupuaçu — to London diners’ already broad palettes. Their disassembled interpretation of a Bahian moqueca — a seafood stew laden with coconut milk, fiery chilli and crimson palm oil — is a must, offering an inventive spin on a comforting classic, while dishes like a whole roasted bone marrow served on a bed of rock salt, and accompanied by a zingy cashew cream and tapioca cream are worth it for their theatrical value alone.

And to drink? Cachaça-based bevvies are, naturally, top of the billing — yes, there are caipirinhas, though we’d recommend branching beyond to sample some of the more experimental riffs on the potent classic. As befits a dining room of this taste level — and, well, postcode — though, there’s also a sommelier at hand to offer tailored pairings from Bossa’s capacious cellars. Saùde!

Bossa at 4 Vere Street, London, W1G 0DG

    Go to… Secret Garden Party

Glasto may be a distant memory at this point but festi season is just beginning, baby! And it’ll hit full swing with Secret Garden Party, which descends on Cambridgeshire every year, turning the idyllic British countryside into a fairy paradise of music, dancing, colour and generally excellent vibes. The independent festival, aimed at the curious minded (and lover of sequins) returns this year from 20 to 23 July with a line-up featuring everyone from The Libertines to Peaches, Underworld to Róisín Murphy. Check out the full line-up and get tickets here.

    Wear… THEGIRLJTWORLD

This week JT of the CityGirls was out in London to celebrate the launch of her new platform, THEGIRLJTWORLD, with a dinner (and cocktails, obv) at Sketch in Soho (yes, the one with those toilets you see all over Instagram). The platform is a new venture from JT to sell limited merch to her biggest fans all over the world. The site, she says, is for people who “like [her] style and love [her].” Sign us up. On the night itself she even modelled some of the pieces we can expect to see online. And because it’s Sketch, she obviously posed in the loos wearing an I Heart JT t-shirt. Us too! Check out JT’s new universe here.
