With a CV to put everyone’s New Year’s Resolutions to shame, Karlie Kloss is the ultimate multi-tasking role (super)model. Who else can say they’ve starred on 34 Vogue covers, launched their own business and YouTube channel, studied coding, used the proceeds from said business to help underprivileged children around the world, and set up a coding scholarship fund that helps other girls to take full-time courses in software engineering across America? By the age of 23? Probably not you. So how about scrapping the New Year’s diet, budget and reading list and stick to one New Year’s Resolution: Be More Karlie! That’s Topshop’s resolution for 2016 anyway.
The brand has invited the long-legged lovely back as the star of its Tyrone Lebon-shot spring/summer 16 campaign — eight years after her first Topshop appearance. “My grandmother brought me over from St Louis,” Kloss says of her first campaign for the highstreet superbrand. “I was young and shy and super nervous to be on set [with] Topshop. Luckily I was shooting with Jourdan Dunn and we became overnight best friends. I think she had me in stitches the whole time we were shooting.” (The pair even fronted a cover of i-D after bonding on that first Topshop shoot.)
