When Lily-Rose Depp‘s Instagram feed was completely wiped in the early hours of this morning, the culture / celeb sector went into overdrive: was this the most emblematic case of social burnout yet? Was Depp fed up of having 800,000 people follow her every move? Or maybe the constant demand for a new selfie got too much?
As it turns out, none of these things had anything to do with it. In fact, Lily-Rose has just revealed that wiping the Insta-slate clean was not even of her doing, her account was hacked, plain and simple. “Got hacked but I’m back online you guys come on! let me LIVE!,” the budding actor posted along with a pretty fed up looking selfie.
Though the archive of images is lost, we can’t wait to see what Depp junior will fill it up again with. Another fashion campaign to follow her turn as the face of Chanel eyewear, more LGBTQI awareness campaigns, or selfies with Natalie Portman, who she will star alongside in upcoming supernatural drama Planetarium, perhaps?
