Throughout the 2016 presidential election, Rose McGowan has been very vocal about her disdain for Donald Trump’s campaign. Now, she’s lashing back again with a promotional video for Emily’s List, about the Republican candidate’s brutal misogyny. The brief clip shows a visibly concerned McGowan quoting just a few of Trump’s problematic statements in rapid-fire succession. It concludes with a reminder that if women stick together and vote with their best interests, they can stop Trump when November rolls around.
The PSA is just the latest move in McGowan’s ongoing fight against Trump. Back in August, she wrote a passionate open letter to the candidate, referring to him as a “diagnosable sickness,” whose media treatment is “poisoning humanity.” Her forthcoming memoir, titled Brave, promises a vivid exposure of Hollywood’s systemic misogyny.
