The designer ended his David Sims-lensed fall/winter 15 folio with a bang.

Since his first shot of Cher dropped in May, Marc Jacobs has been positively destroying the fall/winter 15 campaign game. Willow Smith, Winona Ryder, Sofia Coppola, Anthony Kiedis and his little one–honestly, it was a little difficult to keep track of the star studded crew. Over the weekend, Jacobs released the final campaign image on Instagram with a heartfelt ode to his longtime ride or die, Kim Gordon.

“I remember exactly how equally excited (and intimidated) I felt when I first met Kim in 1992. I was a huge fan, and she represented all that was intelligent, unconventionally creative and cool…awkward, powerful, the epitome of artistic credibility and a seductive intensity that I’d never known,” the designer wrote in a lengthy caption before recounting his many creative collaborations with the Sonic Youth co-founder.

Fresh out of Parsons (and before he got the sack at Perry Ellis for an infamous collection that no doubt delighted the godmother of grunge), Jacobs appeared in the no-wave icon’s music video for Sugar Kane: “Filmed at the Perry Ellis showroom, centered on my grunge collection, while Sonic Youth played, Kim’s friend Chloe Sevigny starred along with a cast of friends, models and fashion editors (You Tube it)!”

And this isn’t the mother-daughter team’s first rodeo for the New York brand’s campaigns. Back in 98, Gordon shot with Juergen Teller for Jacobs, while Coco and dad Thurston made an 03 ad a family affair. Gordon’s Instagram followers are well aware that Coco recently celebrated her 21st birthday, as Kim came with a steady stream of adorable #tbts for the occasion. Rounding out the squad of the season isn’t such a bad way to celebrate adulthood.

“A personal and stunning portrait to end our extraordinary portfolio with,” Jacobs signed off on Instagram. “Thank you to all of my endlessly inspiring friends for being part of this campaign.”
