When most of us struggle with productivity (like, on a daily basis) we can at least comfort ourselves with the old adage about not being able to do it all. It’s impossible, we tell ourselves, to fit everything in! We shouldn’t be too harsh on ourselves! And it is impossible, probably, unless you’re Megan Thee Stallion, global superstar, Grammy winner and college student.

Proving that she is very much That Girl, Megan sat down with radio personality and New York Times bestselling author Angie Martinez — “The Voice of New York” — to talk about balancing her career and her continued journey in higher education. The chat took place as part of Coach’s Coach Conversation series, a YouTube show about culture, community and creativity, which has also featured Michael B. Jordan, J.Lo, Bob the Drag Queen, Paloma Elsesser and Gwyneth Paltrow, to name a few.

For its sixth episode, premiering today at 5pm, Megan gives Angie a rare insight to her college journey, revealing how she turned her grades around after switching majors, and what she plans to do with her degree from Texas Southern University after graduating this year. The conversation also touches on the importance of education in Meg’s family, how she balances college with her career and how she applies the lessons she learns at school outside the classroom.

“I have been in college for probably about seven years. When I finally get that degree in my hands, I’m gonna burst out crying because I can’t believe I made it,” Megan says. “It’s just gonna show me that whatever I put my mind to, I can do it.” “I think this is a really important conversation to have, because college is challenging,” Angie replies. “It’s challenging to get there, it’s challenging to afford it. So I think it’s really helpful to have these kinds of conversations and inspire people.”

While previous episodes of Coach Conversations were released to mark moments like Pride and Black History Month, this most recent release closes out a week of initiatives tied to the brand’s Dream It Real program, a global effort to help break cycles of inequality by empowering the next generation to reach their full potential through higher education.
