What Are You Wearing? A key question for any event, but an essential one for a music festival during the unpredictable chaos that is British summertime. Get your outfit choices right and you’re in for an enjoyable weekend of free-flowing anarchy with your mates, come rain or shine. Get them wrong and you could potentially end up having to go home early, phone-less, stressed out and sopping wet (sweaty, rain-drenched, or both.)

While year’s Wireless Festival in London’s Crystal Palace and Finsbury Park was a showcase of anthemic, mosh pit-inducing rap performances from the likes of Tyler The Creator, Nicki Minaj and Playboi Carti over consecutive weekends– the on-site fashion was seriously competing to the steal the show.

Sure, raging to the point of resurrection is the point of going to Wireless – but who says you can’t do that whilst looking your absolute best? With breathability and utility the order of the day, your fav TikTok influencers and hip-hop stans alike turned up in athleisure, parachute pants and pockets, lots of pockets.

Carrying on the original spirit of i-D’s Straight Up street photography from the 1980s, we sent Lea Ogunlami to Wireless Festival (courtesy of YouTube Shorts) to interview artists on the line up including Pa Salieu and Mahalia, plus the most stylish people in the crowd to ask them that age-old question, What Are You Wearing?
