They got her name wrong, asked her patronizing questions and even said she was “in a mood” after she’d gone, so it’s no wonder that Cara Delevingne has something to say to the good people of Good Morning Sacramento. Taking to Twitter to defend herself after that totally awkward interview the model turned actress said this: “Some people just don’t understand sarcasm or the British sense of humor.”
Paper Towns author John Green also jumped in to defend Cara in a witty post entitled But Did You Read the Book? “Of course Cara read the book,” he wrote, before highlighting how annoying it is to be asked the question in the first place, and how sexist it is considering co-star Nat Wolff was asked “when'” he read the book, not “if.” Or perhaps it’s a condescending reference to the fact that Cara is a model and not a trained actress. Who knows? “(Cara) refuses to stick to the script,” he adds, “she refuses to indulge lazy questions and refuses to turn herself into an automaton to get through long days of junketry. I don’t find that behavior entitled or haughty. I find it admirable. Cara Delevingne doesn’t exist to feed your narrative or your news feed — and that’s precisely why she’s so fucking interesting.”
Take that, Good Morning Sacramento.
